RESEARCH  

  • 1961-1965 Research Assistant, during MSc and PhD duration in the University of Chicago. Chicago, IL.

  • 1965-1968  Research Fellow (post Doctoral training) at Caltech, California Institute of of Technology. Division of Biology. Pasadena, CA. Project: Exploration on phytoferritin, Electron-microscopical observations, different nutritional treatment of bean, pea, and Xanthium plants, and on the heterogeneity of phytoferritin and horse ferritin (Prof. A.J. Hodge's group).

  • 1968‑1969  Senior Scientist of Botany heading a research group with Prof. W.F.Libby (1960 Nobel Prize Laureate) UCLA, IGPP, Los Angeles, Inst. Geophysics and Planetary Physics. Project: Search for Life on Venus; Growth and analysis of microorganisms under higher levels of CO2 and at elevated temperatures. 

  • 1969‑1972 Senior Research Fellow. Dept. of Organic Chemistry, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Project: Chemistry of algae under extreme conditions. Member of E.D.Bergmann's group.

  • 1976‑1977  Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Tel‑Aviv. Research on Plant morphogenesis. (Host,  Prof.  Tova Arzee).

  • 1978‑1980   Research on the fine structure of insects and algae, Bar‑Ilan University and at the Medical School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.(with Drs. I. Hammerman and M. Kessel, respect).

  • 1980-1990   Study of structure and biochemistry of algae, Hebrew U. Organic Chemistry.

  • 1989-1990  Research at the Phycological lab. UCLA with Prof. D.J. Chapman during my Sabbatical year. studying Cyanidian caldarium  algal group, Electron Microscopy and biochemistry; peroxisomes, ethylene excretion and sterols).
