1961/1963/1965 M.Sc. / Ph.D. Department of Botany - the University of Chicago, Chicago, USA.University of Chicago, IL, USA. Thesis: The effect of photoperiod and light quality of the xanthinin‑xanthatin content of Xanthium pensylvanicum.

    1963‑1965 Ph.D. University of Chicago (Botany). Thesis: Studies on the control of axillary buds of Xanthium pensylvanicum and the and properties of xanthinin deacylase. Advisors: Prof. L. Bogorad and W. J. McIlrath).

1977 – Dean of Students and Academic secretary – at Jerusalem Technical School.

1988 received Fellowship from the DAAD, spent 3 months in Tüebingen Germany (Fall 1988)

1992-1998 Instructor for chemistry teachers and in charge of teaching, matriculational final examination in Agric. Chemistry (Rural Education, Ministry of Education).

1994 My first edited book Evolutionary Pathways and Enigmatic Algae: Cyanidium caldarium (Rhodophyta) and Related Cells. Publishe by Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht, NL.

1997 – 2014 Appointed to a new Book Series as Editor in Chief by Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht, NL (the Netherlands) on Cellular Origin, Life in Extreme Habitats and Astrobiology. (“COLE”). See list of books at: www.springer.com/series/5775

1997-1998 Professor and the John P. Laborde Chair for Sea Grant Development. Department of Biological Sciences, (508 Life Sci. Bldg. at the Louisiana State University [LSU] at Baton Rouge, LA 70803 USA.

1997 to present – chief editor of KluweràSpringer book series “Cellular Origins, Life in Extreme Habitats and Astrobiology” (COLE).  Organized and edited 30 books (updated to 2013). Series ended in Jan. 2013. New connection with University of Chicago Press and Nova Publisher.

1999 – to present – a member of Program committee for Astrobiology conferences (SPIE)

2006 received Fellowship from the DAAD to spent 3 months in Munich Germany (Fall . 2006) hosting me was Professor Wlady Altermann.

2013 – forward – Editorial Board Member of the Journal LIFE (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/life), ISSN 2075-1729) paragraph.
