 Presented a seminar at the University of Rome (Tor Vergata) on Extremophiles and Astrobiology   (May 23, 2001).

  Invited to the Netherlands-Israel BioInformatics Conference,  The Hague (NL) (Oct. 2001).

 Invited by the Indian Academy of  Sciences to the International Conference on Thermophiles, in New Delhi (India) presented there a couple of papers and served as a chair person of session. Topic of lectures: Origin and Extremophiles and on thermo-acidophilic algae (December 2001).

 

 Invited to a workshop on Water in the Upper Martian Surface (April 17-19, 2002) in Potsdam (Germany) to present a paper on  “Extremophiles: from Psychrophiles to Martian Life.” (April 2002).

 Invited [with financial support] to attend ISSOL (International Society for Study Origin of Life) meeting in Oaxaca Mexico (June 30 till July 6th 2002).

 Invited to attend Bioastronomy workshop in Hamilton Island (Australia) July 7th – 12th July  (2002)  have not attended in spite of their financial support.

 

 Invited to attend The Gordon Research Conference in Lewiston ME (13-18/ 7 /2003).

 Invited to attend The Life in the Universe. The International Conference in Trieste, IT.  Delivered an oral presentation and served as a chair for a session. Chosen  to be on the chief Editor for the publishing the proceedings and incorporate it into Cellular Origins, Life in Extreme Habitats and Astrobiology (COLE)   (Sept. 2003) .

 Invited for presenting a talk on “Extremophilic Microbes on Earth and Beyond” for the 17th Annual Meeting of the Israel Society for Astrobiology and the Study of the Origin of Life (ILSOL), Rechovot at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Agriculture (21-Dec 2003).

 

 Inivited to the Memorial Symposium of Professor Laurie Bogorad in Harvard University  (May 4th 2004).

 Spending some library research time in the Botanical Garden and Museum, Berlin. Meeings with potential authors for COLE book series (February- March, 2005).

  • Meeting in Springer Publiser [Dordercht, the NL] with the connecting people to discuss future plans in our book COLE series. (November 2005)

 

 Attending International Conference in New Delhi, India (Biotechnology of Algae-cyanobacteria and their ecology). Presenting seminars in University of Delhi and in BARC at Mumbai on Extremophiles and Astrobiology. This visit was partial supported from the Israel and Indian Academies of Science. (February 2006)

 Attended International Workshop on microalgae culture collections in Izmir Turkey. Presented 2 oral talks there. (May, 2006), Meet with 3 potential authors for DINA in Istanbul (Tk) May 2006

 Spending in Munich 3 months under the Fellowship from DAAD (Host is Professor Wlady Altermann, Dpt of Geology, Uni Munich (September à December  2006).

 Attending the Symbiosis congress in Krakow Poland. Delivering the an oral presentation on the topic of Polyextremophiles: Life under multiple forms of Stress and Astrobiology (with a movie on Tardigrade movement). (July 22-28, 2012).
